Personal Goal Development

It has been said that the world makes way for a person who knows where he or she is going and that we are happiest when engaged in activity that has meaning and purpose. However in reality the vast majority of people have little or no idea of where they are headed, one week, one month or one year form now. Research reveals that less than five percent of the population have actually determined and ultimately worked out a written plan for achievement of specific goals. Additionally those who in fact plan, quite often restrict those efforts to financial and career planning, they hardly ever set goals or plan for other life areas, such as family, physical, social and mental development. Your Personal Goal Program Goal setting begins by establishing the relationship between where you are now and where you want to go; the more clearly you understand your goals the more likely it is that you will do whatever it takes to achieve them. Specific goals yield specific results; unclear or hazy goals usually produce no results. Why Written Goals and Plans Writing goals forces you to clarify your thinking. Reviewing written goals serves as a reminder of your objectives. Written goals will keep you focused. Writing a goal eliminates the danger of it being altered by the passage of time. Written goals offer a standard by which to measure progress The process of writing and clarifying your goals and thought process typically generates new thoughts and ideas. The more emotionally involved you are with your goals the more likely that you will accomplish them. My name is Dominick Borzomati and I am a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COACH.
